One of the most beloved events of the season, Memorial’s Festival of Trees, starts Nov. 24 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Orr Building and runs through Dec. 1. View more than 150 Christmas trees and wreaths decorated by members of the community and marvel at the amazing handcrafted gingerbread village. Kids will delight in riding the miniature train and can visit with Santa or enjoy fresh, warm gingerbread cookies purchased from the bakery. Live entertainment is scheduled throughout each day and includes local high school, college and community choirs, musicians, dancers and more.
