BAND SPOTLIGHT | Kentucky Knife Fight

From a raucous beginning during an open mic night at the Stagger Inn Again in Edwardsville, Kentucky Knife Fight has grown through the years into a formidable, well-respected, award-winning group. Based in St. Louis, with members from the Springfield area, the rocking and rolling, edgy and bright, loose-lipped and tight-playing band is always on the move, with shows booked in St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, Wichita, Fort Worth and elsewhere over the next several weeks. While forging their raw “punk/blues” sound into a cohesive and explosive unit, they’ve won St. Louis’ Riverfront Times Best Rock Band award twice, recently released the CD, Hush Hush, are currently preparing soundtrack material for “America: From the Ground Up!” to air this coming spring on PBS, played LouFest in 2013 and just keep coming on with the good stuff. Jason Holler (vocals), Curt Brewer (guitar), Nate Jones (guitar), Jason Koenig (bass) and James Baker (drums) as stated on their website, “are too hungry to be tired; too restless to rest; and too stubborn to stop.”
