NATURE | World of kindness

It’s a party in benefit of the planet, and everyone’s invited. Henson Robinson Zoo welcomes you and your family, this Saturday, April 14, to join in fun activities that focus on recycling and responsible living.

They’ll show you earth-friendly crafts, or more pointedly, how to turn trash into crafts. The zoo will also demonstrate how they use trash as treats for the animals. In turn, you’ll learn how you can do this with your pets at home. In addition, they’ll teach you about how you can help, and not hurt, animals that you might find in your backyard. Most activities take place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Regular zoo admission is required for entrance. This program is in cooperation with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for Earth Day, and zoos around the country are holding similar programs.
