BAND SPOTLIGHT | The Vile Impurity

Within the vast genre of modern metal bands, The Vile Impurity plays “tech-death metal” promising, as a lyric states, “Devastation which you will never forget!” From origins in 2010 when guitarist Miles Ellegoods joined forces with drummer Pete Rocks, to the signing with Swimming With Sharks Records in 2011 and on to extensive touring upcoming in 2012, they’re “determined to stop at nothing to deliver the brutalest of music, represented by their intense and raw energy on and off the stage, keeping them hungry and chomping at the bit of any opportunity presented.” An early incarnation of the band called After the Burning, featuring Dustin Ogle on brutal vocals and Aaron Kaufmanns on bass, produced an EP, Sanctity in Ruin and opportunities to work with groups such as Origin, Abysmal Dawn, Wretched, Goatwhore and others. After bassist Jake Lahniers took over the four-string, the band became The Vile Impurity with a new recording called Anathema (Kaufmanns did the bass tracks) recorded in Des Moines, Iowa, at Audio Aggregate Studios with Dustin Miller as engineer and producer. Watch out world, here comes The Vile Impurity!
