Traveling out of Springfield?
As you go, why not take a minibrochure about Springfield with you?
Representatives of the Citizens Club of Springfield, Springfield Chamber of Commerce and government officials recently unveiled a mini-brochure to encourage businesses to come to Springfield.
Bob Gray, president of the Citizens Club of Springfield, said that the mini-brochure, or palm card, will serve as a marketing tool for people outside of Springfield to better understand the business opportunities that Springfield offers.
“The purpose of the business-card-sized folded mini-brochure is to empower every citizen of Springfield anywhere in the world to sell Springfield as a place to start a business or move a business to,” Gray said. “The palm card adds a somewhat minor, but quite unique, addition to the significant economic development activities going on in Springfield and the chamber.”
The mini-brochure features a theme of “Springfield- The Middle of Everywhere” and includes a variety of information about Springfield including universities and medical facilities in the area.
The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce paid $700 to print 10,000 minibrochures, which will be available through the Citizens Club, the Chamber of Commerce and possibly other locations, such as the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport.
