BAND SPOTLIGHT | The Aspect: Beatle Band Originally conceived as a way to bring several styles of popular music under one umbrella, Bill McKenzie’s concept group, The Aspect, continues the tradition by again taking on the Beatles as subject matter. The Lime Street Cafe venue adds to the ambiance with walls full of Beatle-related memorabilia as the Aspect members bring to life renditions of familiar and obscure Mop-Top covers. Fab Four fanatic and singing sensation Brian Curtis leads the way with stellar and stunning to-the-note versions of songs by the Liverpool Lads perfectly performed on the keyboard. Add into the mix dynamic guitarist and vocalist Jeff Helton, who claims, “these songs are in our DNA” with Mr. McKenzie on bass and vocals, plus Troy Roark enthusiastically personifying the “Ringo” drum sound, then top that off with Lori McKenzie bringing a female voice to the oft-heard man songs of the Beatles and you have a show to make Sgt. Pepper proud. As with all previous Aspect performances, anticipate Stump the Band, Beatle trivia, guest appearances and an overall celebration of the music at hand. See also
