GIVE TO JOPLIN

A Springfield man is collecting items for the community of Joplin, Mo., a

city devastated by a massive tornado on May 22. Items are needed by Thursday, May 26.

“They’ve lost everything and many of the people have died,” says Cal Scheuermann. “We send money to foreign countries but we just need to help people here.”

His son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Jennifer Scheuermann, live in Joplin and are helping to organize relief.

Items needed include toys, a TV, DVD player, children’s DVDs, denture products, paper plates, peanut butter, jelly, bean bag chairs, laundry soap, hair and skin products, canned goods, duct tape, all kinds of dry good foods, sheets, pillows and pillow cases.

For more information, contact Cal at 217-652-6558.
