What makes this month-long installment of three artists impressive is the individual power of each artist’s work and the combination of their unique presentations -- each, to use a musical metaphor, sung in a different key. Springfield’s illustrious canvas-sage, Felicia Olin’s pieces are stunning as always, situated on the beautiful sides between haunting and whimsical. You’ll know an Olin when you see it -- her formal study and experience can’t be masked. Dan Grossman’s oils are rich, pulling the magic of color and light from landscapes in a way that most people can’t even attempt. After years as a freelance illustrator, he now devotes more time to his true love, and it shows. Janet Seitz Carlson’s glass works format primary colors into glass in dimensions that rainbows can only dream of breaking through. Her works have been in many shows and she is a dynamo in the arts world. Meet these impressive artists in person Feb. 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. during the opening reception at the H.D.
