Illinois’ Got Talent is brought to Springfield by the same folks that put on the Miss Illinois Teen and Pre-teen Pageant held Sunday at the Hoogland, the Miss Illinois Scholarship Association, in association with Dolphin Entertainment. In fact for $40, you can attend both events. Along the lines of America’s Got Talent and other reality TV shows such as American Idol, this talent competition pulls 12 finalists who are vocalists and duets from all around the state, vying for $1,000 in cash and a full tuition scholarship to the LA Experience, a week-long event where young adults can learn from, meet and perform for casting directors and talent agents.
