If you think you’re too old, tired or busy to learn something new — think again.

Lincoln Land Community College is making it easy for the overworked and overburdened to take one-time-only classes on things like umpiring, drumming and woodfurniture refinishing with its new Try It! program. This month’s classes — only $12 each — are NIA Technique for Relaxation on Jan. 16, Swing Dancing on Jan. 19 and Painting with Watercolor on Jan. 23.

In addition to the Try It! classes, LLCC will offer more than 100 other non-credit classes, workshops and special trips this spring through its community learning department. You can take a four-session course on Ghosts, Hauntings, and the Unexplained or a new 10-session intro to Japanese, or even join a seven-day excursion to Belize to explore the cultural dishes of the Caribbean in April.
