When it came time to seek a band direction, The Backliners decided to “play great rock songs, both classic and new, that we would like to listen to ourselves.” So following this logic you’d find Steve Harvey (guitar, vocals), Greg Harvey (bass, vocals), Aaron Horath (lead guitar, vocals) and Travis Williams (drums) jamming to classics like Led Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, The Cars, Neil Young, The Beatles and Lynyrd Skynyrd, mixed with new rockers from Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, and Blink 182, covering a range from the entire rock era, in addition to harder edged stuff from the likes of AC/DC, Metallica and Alice in Chains. These guys are out to have fun and bring the audience along for the ride with a show designed to be “very listenable, danceable, and singalong-able,” a perfect description what the Backliners are all about.
