Compelling & Inspired Italian Cuisine

This Coral Springs restaurant is a remarkable gem and the pride of ownership is apparent in every endeavor undertaken by Vilma and Chef Agostino Vedda. All dishes are created in a semi-open kitchen which overlooks an oak-toned bar provisioned with a variety of beers on tap. While the Chef is preparing his signature delicacies, the vibrant hostess is tending to the needs of patrons seated in the contemporary dining room graced by a spectacular wrap-around window.

What distinguishes this Chef’s cuisine is his ability to extract the maximum degree of excitement from every morsel, starting from the crisp basket of rolls right through the last forkful of the mains. The select wine list echoes his meticulous attention to detail. Linea Margherita’s Pinot Grigio ($5.95), for example, possesses a firm and complex structure while the Bosco Lazzeroni Chianti ($6.95) has a superbly refined intensity.

As often as we have had France’s most imitated broth, nothing could prepare us for the extraordinary serving of the sublime Creamy French Onion Soup. Apart from the fragrance and richness of each spoonful, the mating of thinly sliced onions, cream, mozzarella and select seasonings was an exhilarating tour de force.

Despite their delectable diversity, all the starters share a common innovation. The list includes contemporary favorites such as chicken wings. Of these, the most intriguing is the Sautéed Broccoli Rabe with Sausage ($8.95) prepared with a flawless balance of ingredients. The Chef avoids the common pitfall of submerging the delicate greens in a sea of olive oil.

Service is appropriately attentive with wait time relatively minimal considering the fact that each course is meticulously crafted.

A continuous stream of arias and popular music on the hi-fi system makes the flow of delicacies appear seamless. Entrees are remarkable for their ideal integration of flavors and textures with perhaps the most stunning distillation of the Chef’s astounding talent being the Chicken Rollatini ($15.95).

Circular cuts of tender filet are stuffed with satiny leaves and placed in a to-diefor pink sauce. The Shrimp Fradiavolo ($15.95) was geared to our heat level and features succulent crustaceans placed over a mound of al dente pasta suffused with a savory elixir. This duo of signature creations was nothing less than sheer brilliance and perfection.

Cast your eyes on the luscious Tiramisu ($4.50), which is as visually pleasing as it is flavorful. The crisp shell of the Canolli ($3.75) is sensational and the filling is totally captivating. As we finished our treats, we reaffirmed our original intuition that Chef Agostino’s talents far surpass those of his competitors.
