Q: I am in the process of cleaning out my closet. What do I do with all of my winter clothes? I have a hard time throwing anything away. Where do I begin?

A: While you are in the process of cleaning out your closet, it is very important that you throw any clothes out that you currently aren’t wearing. The rule of thumb is, if you haven’t worn it in the last 6-8 months toss it! To all of those pack rats out t h e r e , throw it away! I can’t stress it enough. I know that its very difficult to t h r o w i t e m s away, but you will feel better with less clutter. You either can bring your clothes to a consignment store and receive money when it sells, or you can donate your clothes to a local charity. Any bulky jackets or sweaters that you wont wear for a while, store in bins for next year. Make way for a new spring wardrobe. You will feel better and will have earned your right to a whole new wardrobe. Go splurge, you’re worth it!
