Happy TravelerQ: Is it possible to cruise to
Puerto Rico from
Florida ports, stay
for a few days, and return on the same ship?
A: Sorry. Sailing from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, the ships only make
a stop at
Puerto Rico for a few hours and do not return to Puerto
Rico. The route is usually to the eastern caribbean and back to
Florida.
Flying is the best bet.
Q: Can you suggest a four or five day
vacation not too far from
Florida?
A: Yes. Cancun is close by and is a popular
spot for hotels, beaches, and always great
Mexican weather. A little further north
and a step back in time is Charleston,
South Carolina where you can witness the
charms of a bygone era. Nearby off the
coast of
South Carolina is Hilton Head
Island for fantastic golf. While in the area,
try Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina and the fine beach area called the Grand Strand. Finally
Savannah,
Georgia up
the coast a bit has the country’s largest historic landmark district. GOGO
VACATION TOURS can arrange it.
Q: We hope to be in
Washington D.C.
for the innauguration. Are there any new
attractions?
A: The obvious one is a new President,
but the NEWSEUM is one of the latest
attractions. The Capital is always an
exciting place to visit and the monuments,
memorials, and the famous buildings can
be seen on various tours
of Embassy Row, Arlington Cemetery, and the White
House Visitor Center. There are all-day tours, open
bus tours, and a cruise up the Potomac River to Mt. Vernon.

D.C.’s newest museum is dedicated to outstanding journalism.

Warm white powdery sand beaches and turquoise crystal clear waters
together with the famous Mexican hospitality make this a place like no
other!
