The fourth annual Catahoula Wine Mixer was back and better than ever. This year, the festival was a two-day event consisting of an eight-course wine dinner from eight different local chefs under the oaks in The Grove at Garrett Farm. On Saturday, the wine tasting was staged throughout the parks in Provenance featuring four wine regions and eight chef collaborations for tasty bites. There were 24 wines to sample curated by Cuban Liquor and the collection of chefs. – Mark Crawford

The 7th Annual Goodwill Ghoulwill Golf Classic was held on Oct. 25 at Querbes Golf Course. Participants enjoyed noon treats, a four-person scramble and rounds of golf. Entry fees included cart, lunch and golf shoes. – Special to 318 Forum
