Whisk Dessert Bar

hosted the second annual Great Shreveport Bake Off on the front lawn of Whisk Dessert Bar in Historic South Highlands. More than 50 submissions were entered in three categories: cakes, cookies and pies. A carrot cake was the overall winner of the competition, submitted by Taylor Washington, and she received a Whisk Dessert Bar gift card and a brand new Kitchen Aid mixer.

The Red River Revel  hosted their annual wine festival, CORK, at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport. More than 100 wines were poured, and food was served from eight local restaurants including Dillas Quesadillas and Abby Singer's Bistro. Money raised from CORK benefits the Red River Revel arts festival. – Mark Crawford
