A pre-party to announce the 10th annual Baron’s Ball was held at Zocolo’s on May 11. The event will be held on Aug. 26 at Southern Trace Country Club. The theme is White Out Cancer, and food, dancing to Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs, party photos, and silent and live auctions will be featured. Ann Harvey is chairman.

Shreveport was the city selected by the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society to host their annual conference in which 200 guests attended this fiveday conference. Guests experienced the local culture and history with events at Great Raft Brewing, the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum and dinner on the stage of the Strand Theatre.
