RECONCILIATION BEGINS WITH TWO HEARTS
The Shreveport Reconciliation Dinner is an invitation-only gathering of residents who were chosen based on their spirit of reconciliation and their lives being interwoven into the cultural and racial fabric of the city’s growth and history. Each invitee was encouraged to bring one special person in their lives to share the experience.

I often wish I could stroll the streets of Highland, a historic neighborhood in Shreveport, back when it was first evolving. I could hop on a trolley and do some shopping and have lunch at a counter with my neighbors. I could visit some of the wonderful homes just as they existed then.

40 UNDER FORTY
The chamber established the 40 Under 40 Awards to recognize 40 outstanding young professionals who live, work and make a difference in Northwest Louisiana. YWCA EMPOWERS
The YWCA of Northwest Louisiana and Legal Services of North Louisiana have partnered to address the needs of the underserved who can’t afford private attorneys in civil cases through a series of workshops, “Representing Yourself: Five Things Every Self-Represented Litigant Should Know.
