Once Upon a Diamond is a fourth generation jewelry store that was started by Browns’ grandmother in 1912, as Browns Jewelry and Loan in Council Bluffs, Iowa—and that business is still there today.

The local company is unique in their strong family heritage. “We’re a family-owned business and we specialize in estate and one of a kind jewelry pieces,” said Brown. Brown’s two sons have degrees in architecture and help with the custom jewelry designs offered to clients, further strengthening the family ties.
