Jamie Eagles with Jamie Eagles State Farm Insurance is one local businessman paving the way for others to have secure futures. “As a State Farm agent, we represent an incredible brand that has a great reputation, and is the nations largest auto insurer,” said Eagles.
A Ruston native with twelve years experience, Eagles loves his career. “I went into this career because it was a great opportunity for me to help other people in their best of times and in their worst of times,” said Eagles. And he gets to do just that every day. “Each day at work looks a little a different than the day before,” said Eagles. “But regardless of the day’s tasks, my team and I daily strive to help our clients prepare for the unexpected and realize their insurance needs.”
Eagles, opened his first State Farm agency in Baton Rouge. “We opened our agency on the eve of Hurricane Katrina,” said Eagles. “For months we dealt with people affected by the storms. It was a great lesson that really opened my eyes to see how much difference we make in people’s lives.”
Eagles, who has his B.A. and Masters from Louisiana Tech University, has won many awards in the insurance industry, including the Chairman’s Circle Award and the Central Vice President’s Council Award. He is also very grateful for his wife and three children. “I have a fantastic wife and beautiful kids,” said Eagles. “They help me reach my professional goals and have provided a great support system for me over the years.” Eagles successfully balances his work and family life, while volunteering in various ways and serving on the Independence Bowl Foundation. He’s also a committee member at the Northwest Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is a member of the LTAC club at Louisiana Tech University. He also enjoys staying involved at his children’s school at St. Mark’s and teaches youth Sunday School at First Bossier. “Faith plays a major role in my life every day,” said Eagles.
His advice to other men looking to venture toward their professional goals is simple yet straightforward. “Pick something you’re passionate about,” said Eagles. “Don’t be afraid to fail. Strive to be the best you can be, and get better each day.”
