Isaac Palmer was named Interim COO for CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier. Palmer joined the CHRISTUS Louisiana leadership team in June and has since contributed to the success of the CHRISTUS Louisiana ministries by leading several state-wide strategies. He has also been working directly with the CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier leadership team since Dr. William Lunn’s departure in August. Prior to his role at CHRISTUS, Palmer served as COO at Alamonte, a hospital in Orlando, Fla. In this role, he was responsible for master facility planning and numerous construction projects. Prior to his tenure at Alamonte, he was COO for the Heartland Division of the Adventists System, a three hospital system in Sebring, Florida after spending four years as the CEO at Bolingbrook Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

The United Way of Northwest Louisiana has hired Jennifer Adams as the director of resource development. Adams has worked in Shreveport-Bossier City for more than15 years. Her public relations and marketing background covers a broad spectrum–from travel and tourism to neurosurgery, nonprofit to state government. She graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a bachelor’s of arts in communications and public relations.

Bossier Parish Community College has again been designated a Military Friendly School by Victory Media, the leader in successfully connecting the military and civilian worlds. The 2015 Military Friendly Schools designation is awarded to the Top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students, and to dedicate resources to ensure their success in  the classroom and after graduation. This is the fourth consecutive year that BPCC has been named to the list.

The Samaritan Counseling Center announced Dr.Tim Hart as recipient of the 2014 Samaritan of the Year award. Hart has served the community in countless ways over the past years and continues to provide strong leadership in various volunteer opportunities. Each year since1994, the center has honored Samaritans who have made a difference in our community. The Samaritan of the Year award is bestowed upon those who have made significant contributions to human health and growth, demonstrated religious sensibility in their work and has exemplified the ideals of the Samaritan ministry.

Southern RV Supercenter, headquartered in Bossier City, has hired Steven Reynolds as chief financial officer and Dusty Lofton as director of sales and finance. Southern RV, LLC operates three recreational vehicle dealerships in Louisiana and Texas. Reynolds will oversee Southern RV’s accounting department and will be responsible for the financial management of all dealerships. He has served in senior-level executive management positions and as CFO for several large companies. Lofton will oversee the sales and finance activities at all three RV dealerships. Southern RV Supercenter has dealerships in Bossier City and Lafayette and Tyler, Texas.
