Ballroom, Tower at The Oaks Is your pet part of your family? Some people don’t realize how much a pet can become an integral part of their everyday lives. That’s why it is important that you make sure that your pet is well cared for too. Keeping your pet healthy inadvertently keeps you healthy as well—owning a pet is literally good for you! In this presentation, Cynthia Keith, Shreveport Dog Park Alliance director, will discuss the importance of pet exercise and socialization. Susan Keith, with Pet Education Project, an education and outreach program to teach children the key components to responsible pet ownership, will share tips on proper care of pets and the five basic needs of pets. Fran and Pete Miller will show their service collies and talk on the benefits of pets in therapy. Cost: $5, nonresidents. Registration is required.
