Minority business nominees announced
The Business Development Connection of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce honors outstanding minority and women business owners, businesses and individuals at the Minority Business Opportunity Awards Dinner.
Winners in the following award categories are recognized: Emerging Business of the Year, Small Business Owner of the Year, Top Business Professional of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
Nominees for these awards are chosen because they consistently exemplify the highest standard of professional excellence, service to the community and are members in good standing with the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
Emerging Business of the Year Nominees are Luxury Grooming, Rooming and Daycare, Tammy Rushing; TapSanp & Share, Lesley Duke.
Small Business Owner of the Year Nominees are Jamie Bradford Lopez, Po’Folks Promos; Karen P. Johnson, FocalPoint Coaching of Louisiana.
Top Business Professional of the Year Nominees are Domonique Benn, KSLA-TV; Sherell N. Jefferson, Regions Bank; Ken Latin, Sci-Port Science Center; Paul A. Pratt, Chesapeake Energy Corp.; and Jonathan K. Reynolds, Regions Bank.
Announcing the Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient: J. Anthony Grant, Brookshire’s Grocery Company.
The Minority Business Awards Dinner, “Reflections on Success”, will be held 6 p.m. April 24, at the Shreveport Convention Center. Individual tickets are $50, and table sponsorships are available.
