The Hundred Years War was a series of wars between England and France,
the background of which went as far back as to the reign of William the
Conqueror. When William the Conqueror became king in 1066 after his
victory at the Battle of Hastings, he united England with Normandy in
France and ruled both as his own. LSU history professors Joiner and
White will offer you a glimpse into this dynastic conflict in a series
filled with historical insight and intrigue.

Michael Butterman will perform a variety of classical pieces on the
piano in an hourlong concert in the Tower Ballroom. He will be
accompanied by his wife, Jennifer Carsillo, on the violin. Carsillo has
performed as a soloist for numerous orchestras around the country and
performances with her husband are crowd favorites.
