Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care, a local office which has been in business for twenty nine years, has more than earned their quality reputation in the community and continues to do so through their highly trained doctors and staff. Anna Leighton Hastings, DMD, is an associate dentist at Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care. For Hastings, it’s all about the people—both staff and patients. “The dentists here are some of the best I’ve ever known,” said Hastings. “Our staff is welcoming, and, of course, we have some of the best patients. The staff at Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care understands the intense feelings of anxiety caused by dental visits for many people, and they’re prepared to help manage that. “We offer several options for sedation during dental treatment such as laughing gas, oral sedation or IV sedation.” With two locations in Shreveport and two in Bossier, they can meet any dental need that arises. “We offer cosmetic crowns and veneers, root canal therapy, in-office tooth whitening, dentures/partial dentures and sedation dentistry. We also treat children of all ages,” said Hastings. There’s a “Cavity Free Club” for kids as a motivator to avoid cavities. Hastings was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, and is right at home as a woman in the industry. “For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to become a dentist,” said Hastings. “When I was in the first grade I pulled my best friends tooth, and then gave her mother post-operative instructions!” Dr. Katie Beach also loves being a dentist. “Dentistry has changed a lot over the years,” said Beach. “Our office is not the dental office you remember as a kid. My patient’s comfort is our top priority.” Beach graduated from LSU Baton Rouge with a Bachelor’s in Biology, and then graduated in 2007 from dental school in New Orleans. Being a woman in business gives her the opportunity to thrive doing what she loves most—helping others. Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care has found a unique way to do just that by creating an organization called Trading Smiles. Our team will provide the first 150 patients at the event with a free extraction, filling or cleaning for the exchange of just two canned goods.” “We wanted to provide dental care for patients in need as well as donate the collected items to our community.” said Katie. This is the second annual Trading Smiles event for Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care,” said Beach.

All collected can goods will be donated to the NWLA Food Bank. “Last year, we were able to donate over 600 cans of food to help aid the Shreveport and Bossier communities.”
