Auntie Anne’s Pretzels

Crissy Parikh is one local businesswoman who has learned the balance of juggling faith, family – and some really good food.

Owner/operator for Auntie Anne’s Pretzels at the Airline Drive, Walmart Location in Bossier and at the Youree Drive/Bert Kouns, Walmart Location in Shreveport, Parikh loves being a local woman in business and giving back to her community.

“My favorite part of my job is having the privilege of working alongside of my awesome teammates and building relationships with my customers,” Parikh said. “I feel like the luckiest gal in the whole wide world that I am able to be a part of a brand that was started 28 years ago and is built on a foundation of giving back.”

Her hard work is paying off. Parikh’s franchise was recognized as a Pretzel Perfect Store in both 2013 and 2015, as well as winning the award of Franchisee of the Year in 2015.

But Parikh knows she couldn’t do it alone. “I’m truly blessed to have managers in both of my stores, Becky and Valerie Losey, a mother and daughter team, who share in my vision of providing our guests with outstanding and amazing customer service, having a clean and inviting store and serving freshly baked Golden Brown Pretzels,” Parikh said.

Parikh was first inspired to start a franchise because of a former job experience – and a love for her favorite snack. “Auntie Anne’s was always my favorite go-to snack when running through airports as a flight attendant from 1992- 1999,” Parikh said. “Grabbing something quick was a must, and a cinnamon and sugar pretzel definitely hit the spot.”

One thing led to another, and soon the dream was born.

“Being a believer in the product and sharing in Auntie Anne’s philosophy of faith, family and giving back, I knew this franchise would be the perfect fit for me and my family,” Parikh said.

Parikh has been married to her husband, Roger, for almost two decades. She’s very involved at her church and loves cheering her son on at the Airline High School baseball games.

“I’m truly thankful that God has me exactly where I am at this very moment,” Parikh said. “I love the Auntie Anne’s brand, and I hope to have the opportunity to open several more stores.”
