Laramie Guillot and Julie McEachern are the new owners of the well-known and beloved local Gymboree Play and Music. Classes and open gym time will continue as scheduled.

“We’re excited to build relationships with the children that have been learning at Gymboree for years, as well as watching them flourish throughout their school years,” said McEachern. “We’re enthusiastic about owning an education-focused business in a thriving area of Shreveport.”

Hard work and dedication is no stranger to either woman. Guillot is a self-employed bookkeeper and realtor. McEachern has been in telecommunications for years.

“We want to bring more emphasis to early childhood education,” said McEachern. “Learning through play at a young age allows a child to enter school with more confidence and more highlydeveloped social skills.” Gymboree classes are designed for young children ages six months to five years old to learn while they play.

The ladies have solid goals for the future of Gymboree. “We want to continue providing this valuable opportunity for parent-child interaction and expand into new classes focusing on music and sports,” said McEachern.
