Dr. Erin Kate Cassiere is an experienced obstetrician gynecologist who is now practicing at OB/GYN Associates of Shreveport. Dr. Cassiere joins a practice that has provided skilled and compassionate OB/GYN care for over 30 years.
Dr. Cassiere is a Shreveport native, graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana and completed her study of medicine at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. She pursued training in obstetrics and gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine, finishing her residency in 2012.
Dr. Cassiere is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also holds membership in the Shreveport Medical Society and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
After three years of private practice in Utah, she returns home to be closer to family. She follows in the footsteps of a family of physicians, her father, being Dr. Germain Cassiere, a well-known internist in Shreveport. Her grandfather, Dr. Quinn Hyde, practiced OB/GYN in Alexandria for over 35 years. Dr. Erin Kate Cassiere loves obstetrics and has delivered well over 500 babies. Her engaging personality and broad obstetric experience make her a great choice for the newly pregnant patient seeking obstetric care. Concerning her obstetric practice, she is interested in building a relationship with her patients. According to Dr. Cassiere, “The ultimate experience is sharing the excitement of welcoming new life into the world. The moment I delivered my first baby as a medical student, I knew that obstetrics and gynecology was the specialty for me.”
Dr. Cassiere has extensive surgical experience and is available for evaluation and treatment of gynecologic problems, as well. Dr. Cassiere is new to the Shreveport market and welcomes new patients to her progressive practice. Her availability is enhanced by the prime location of the office at the corner of Bert Kouns and Youree Drive, directly across from the Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital. Appointments are scheduled from 8:15-5:00, Monday through Friday, however, the doctors are available to you 24-hours a day for emergencies.
