Waterview Court

Priscilla Williams, Community Relations Director for Waterview Court, is one local business woman who loves her job – and loves the opportunity it provides to give back.

Waterview Court’s doors have been open since 1999, and offers quality services for those who need it – as well as heartfelt support for the families of the residents.

“Our residents truly prosper in our environment,” said Williams. “From socialization to healthy meal prep, they begin to adapt to a healthier lifestyle with our staff that encourages their independence.”

Waterview Court provides three meals a day for residents, as well as weekly housekeeping, laundry, transportation, utilities and other miscellaneous services.

“My favorite part of my job is the growing relationships I have with residents and their families, and educating providers on the quality of services we provide,” said Williams.

They truly go the extra mile for residents and their families. “Our staff is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of our residents, from life-enriching activities and outings, to kitchen staff and chefs that go the extra mile, to the front desk clerk who is excited to meet and greet every visitor and including the administration that helps families and residents adapt to the transition from home to a retirement community,” said Williams.

Williams, who attended nursing school at Louisiana Tech before going into the marketing industry, personally loves her job. She’s worked in the senior living industry for fifteen years, positions ranging from patient discharge to assessments to working with families in transition when home care is no longer an option for loved ones.

“I’ve always had a passion for seniors, even as a child,” said Williams. “I spent weekends volunteering in nursing homes, doing everything from painting nails to working as a candy striper in the nursing field.”

After working in the medical field and traveling overseas on medical mission trips to Calcutta, India to work in Mother Teresa’s orphanages, Williams saw and learned so much that her passion only grew. “I wanted to share the same compassion that was shared with the lives of the people who were less fortunate, in our area,” said Williams. “I love enriching the lives of seniors in our wonderful community and helping them to thrive.”

Waterview Court, and Williams both, like to operate by the quote made famous by Mother Teresa—“The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved”—and make sure their residents aren’t ever in such a position.
