Mrs. McGregor’s Garden

As in all things truly southern, Mrs. McGregor’s Garden is saturated in family and tradition. Established in 2000, by Mrs. McGregor herself, Paulette Pennison, her credo has always been to live life beautifully and surround yourself with treasures which make your heart happy whether in the form of an exquisite crystal vase or a lace tea towel. These values have been passed down to current proprietor and Paulette’s daughter, Angel Pou. “Mother has retired but like all proper southern mothers she is always around to add her sage advice! I am also so blessed to have at my side my daughter, Lindsey, who has been part of the business since she was in high school helping mother at the first shop location on Kings Highway.”

If you have never experienced a shopping excursion to “the garden” as it is affectionately called, it is a treat for the senses. First, you are welcomed with the aromas of fragrant candles which the shop carries a vast array of. Vignettes are set up throughout to create a home like atmosphere to showcase the many unique lines and products within the historic walls. From beautiful linens and cotton night gowns to artwork of all size and subject matter, embroidered pillows, kitchen crockery, childrens books, gifts for pet lovers and a unique religious section with statuary, original art, rosaries, jewelry and more.

The clothing department, Mrs. McGregor’s Closet, features clothing lines which will appeal to women of various ages and body types. “We are thrilled to be able to offer one of our most popular lines, Sympli, which is a very wearable, stylish and comfortable travel line. Almost wrinkle proof, it is the perfect garment to pack for a journey either to a weekend football game or a European cruise. It looks equally great at either venue.”

“If you have never had the opportunity to leisurely stroll through Mrs. McGregor’s Garden, we invite you whole heartedly to visit. If you are one of our loyal patrons, please continue to visit our ever changing, always beautiful, serenely peaceful, shopping experience.”
