2 CHAMBERS+ eat & Drink

CHAMBERS Eat + Drink is the new restaurant and lounge at San Francisco’s iconic rock ‘n’ roll hotel, the Phoenix, with a menu, décor and ambiance that is equal parts substance and style. At CHAMBERS, Executive Chef Trevor Ogden has created a seasonal, marketdriven menu that balances California provenance with influences from Japan, the Mediterranean and France. CHAMBERS’ food is complemented by two indoor bars and San Francisco’s only poolside patio. Their kitchen is open late until 1 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

3 Ghirardelli

Known the world over for their famous little chocolate squares, Ghirardelli makes unique chocolate like no one else does. Each fall in Ghirardelli Square, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival is hosted. The two-day event is Sept. 12 and 13, and features the chocolate and wine pavilion, chocolate earthquake ice cream eating contest, chef demonstrations and Chocolate School, where you can learn the very interesting process of how their delicious chocolate is made. Dozens of vendors are on hand with many different variations of chocolate are on hand for this very tasty party.

4 Napa Valley Wine Train

Enjoy a relaxing three-hour, 36-mile round-trip journey from the historic town of Napa, through one of the world’s most well known wine valleys to the quaint village of St. Helena. Guests aboard the Wine Train enjoy a freshly prepared lunch or dinner inside a fully restored a 1915 Pullman Dining Car or 1952 Vista Dome car as they pass the vineyards and wineries of Napa Valley. You trip home includes departing the train and boarding a motor coach to visit two Napa wineries. The tour travels to ZD Wines and Raymond Vineyards. This legendary restaurant is at a legendary pier in San Francisco, Pier 39. When looking for a great breakfast spot on Pier 39, look for further than Wipeout Bar & Grill. From the barbecue shrimp omelet to the sourdough French toast, it won’t be hard to find something on the menu everyone will love. 8 Fang

The Fang family has been at the forefront of Chinese cuisine in San Francisco since opening their first restaurant, House of Nanking, on Kearny Street in 1988. If customers want to try something off menu and completely different, both the Chef Peter Fang and his daughter Kathy Fang will go back to the kitchen and whip up something completely different for the customer to enjoy.
