MAY 3: CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA, The event, a celebration of Hispanic culture,

raises funds for academic scholarships benefiting Hispanic students throughout the Ark- La-Tex. The event features food, live entertainment, the Chihuahua Challenge, Mexican dance troupes, a custom car show and more. Free until 5 p.m., $5 after 5 p.m. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Festival Plaza, downtown Shreveport.
