Casey Boyett, co-owner of Aperio Salon and Day Spa in Shreveport, is able to combine business and family in the best way possible. She and her mother, Janet Boyett, own and operate Aperio Salon together, which Casey counts as a blessing in her life. “My mentor is my mom. She has always been my guide post, and I would definitely not be where I am today without her.” she said.

Aperio Salon and Day Spa is a full service salon and day spa, offering a wide range of sophisticated, personalized services. “We are caring, dedicated professionals who pledge to present each individual with a relaxing and unique experience,” says Boyett. They offer services in hair, skin, nails and massage. “We have recently started providing airbrush spray tanning service as well,” she said. “Our biggest goals are customer satisfaction and providing quality services.”

Boyett, a Shreveport native, attended Pat Goins Beauty School in 1999 and became a licensed cosmetologist that same year. She is also a member of the National Cosmetology Association. “My mother and I are co-owners. We opened Aperio Salon in November 2004, so we will be celebrating 10 years in business this coming November! I

had only been a cosmetologist for 5 years when we opened and had only worked at three previous salons. My dream had always been to have my own salon and one day that opportunity presented itself!” Boyett has been able to build a strong team around her at Aperio Salon and Day Spa. That group includes Amber Frost, assistant manager& cosmetologist, Katie Johnston, cosmetologist Kat Kirspel, esthetician, and Robin Clark, massage therapist. “We have an amazing group of women that are all dedicated to their craft and excel in customer service,” she said.

At Aperio Salon and Day Spa, they work to help the community as well. “We also support various charities, but our biggest is Locks of Love. We offer free haircuts to anyone donating 10 inches or more of hair. I am actually growing my hair out to donate for a third time!” she said.

The love she has for her career makes it seem as though she’s not even working at all. “For me, balancing work and my personal life isn’t a juggling act at all because I truly love what I do,” Boyett said. “My favorite part of my job is making people smile.”
