Cheryl Evans, owner of Mom’s 2 Bee, always had a knack for sewing. “When I graduated from high school, I bought an embroidery machine and started doing a little embroidering on the side. When I found out the demand, I couldn’t keep up with it. I now have three commercial embroidery machines.” I decided to open a store front 14 years ago,” she said. Mom’s 2 Bee has grown since its inception. “I started off just doing baby items, but it really expanded into children’s clothing and anything monogramable. Tote bags, gift items, nap mats, baby blankets, burp rags - you name it,” she said. “A lot of the places in town won’t monogram anything that wasn’t purchased in their store.” No matter where you purchased the item, it can be monogrammed at Mom’s 2 Bee.

Cheryl’s favorite part of her job is connecting with customers. “I have a lot of friends that I’ve met through the years that started as customers, and they are almost like family.

Cheryl has been married for 34 years to her husband, Jeff, who retired from General Motors two years ago after 31 years, and now helps her in the shop.
