Each prospective bidder proposing to bid on this project must be prequalified in accordance with the Authority’s “Procedures Governing Classification and Rating of Prospective Bidders.” Copies may be obtained at www.mbta. com. Applications for prequalification for this Project will be accepted by the Authority no less than ten (10) calendar days preceding the bid opening date. This allows for ample time for the Authority to evaluate and respond to the Prequalification Application prior to the bid opening date and to prevent the Authority from delaying the bid opening date. Only contractors prequalified will be considered eligible to bid.
Bidders attention is directed to Appendix 1, Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Insure Equal Employment Opportunity; and to Appendix 2, Supplemental Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination, and Affirmative Action Program in the specifications. While there is no DBE goal associated with this contract, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.
