Venice Williams

Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP, a premier accounting and business consulting firm, is proud to announce that Venice Williams, CPA, MST, has been elected a Partner in the firm’s Tax Department. In this elevated leadership role, Williams will continue to serve as a primary strategic advisor to clients across a diverse range of industries, delivering sophisticated tax planning and compliance solutions tailored to a shifting regulatory environment.

Beyond her external advisory work, Williams is tasked with a significant internal mandate: overseeing the operations of several tax teams and driving the firm’s cultural commitment to professional excellence. She will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of accounting talent through her oversight of comprehensive mentoring and staff training initiatives.

“This well-deserved promotion recognizes Venice’s outstanding contributions to the firm and her exceptional service to clients over the years,” said James DeLeo, MBA, CPA/MST, Gray, Gray & Gray’s Leading Partner. “Venice’s unique ability to navigate an increasingly complicated tax landscape while building strong, trust-based internal and external relationships has been invaluable to our firm’s continued success and growth.”

Williams’ trajectory is a testament to the firm’s “people-first” philosophy. She began her career at Gray, Gray & Gray as an intern in 2009, joining the firm full-time in 2010. Over the ensuing decade, she rose through the ranks as Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager, and Director of Tax before her election to the partnership.

A dedicated educator and advocate for the profession, Williams served as an Adjunct Professor and Lecturer at Bentley University from 2020-2024, sharing her real-world expertise with future accountants at her alma mater. She is a graduate of Bentley University (B.S. in Accounting) and Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business Administration (M.S. in Taxation).

Williams is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MassCPAs), where she frequently volunteers as a guest speaker to inspire high school and college students to pursue careers in the field.

This announcement comes as Gray, Gray & Gray reaffirms its position as a fiercely independent firm. Amidst a wave of industry consolidation, the firm cites its 80-year legacy as evidence that autonomy and a focus on long-term relationships provide the greatest value to clients.
