A Petition has been presented to said Court by Deborah Madrey of Boston in the County of Suffolk representing that she holds as 50% share as tenant in common undivided part or share of certain land lying in Boston, MA in said County, and briefly described as follows:

A certain parcel of land which the building thereon, situated in that part of Boston formerly called Roxbury, in the county of Suffolk, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, comprising the Westerly half of lot 16, shown on a plan of “Warren Land” so called, recorded with Norfolk Deeds at the end of book 163, and being bounded and described as follows:

SOUTHERLY by Moreland Street, thirty (30) feet;

WESTERLY by Lot 15 of said plan, one hundred (1OO) feet;

NORTHERLY by Lot 10 on said plan, thirty (30) feet; and

EASTERLY by the Easterly half of said Lot 16, being land now or formerly of Henry Kelley, one hundred (100) feet.

The street address of the land is: 14 Moreland Street, Roxbury, MA 02119.

Setting forth that she desires that all the following described part of said land may be sold at private sale for not less than 800,000.00 dollars.

And praying that partition may be made of all the land aforesaid according to law, and to that end that a commissioner be appointed to make such partition and be ordered to make sale and conveyance of all, or any part of said and which the Court finds cannot be advantageously divided either at private sale or public auction and be ordered to distribute the net proceeds thereof.

If you desire to object thereto you or your attorney should file a written appearance in said Court at Boston before ten o’clock in the forenoon-on the 15th day of January 2026, the return day of this citation.

City of Lynn Invitation for Bids High Rock Cottage Exterior Renovations

The City of Lynn, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the exterior restoration of High Rock Cottage located at High Rock Park, Campbell Terrace in Lynn, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by architects the Spencer Preservation Group

The scope of the work includes: Cutting and repointing of selective areas of exterior masonry; fabrication and installation of replacement windows and doors at the south elevation; fabrication and installation of wood vergeboards at gables, based on historic evidence; painting of windows, door and frame, and vergeboards.

The project is being partially funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission. All work must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of the contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids.

General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work; Historic Masonry or Historic Building and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.

General Bids will be received until Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM and publicly opened, forthwith online.
