ELIOT CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH EXTERIOR RESTORATION
The
Eliot Congregational Church of Roxbury requests bids for selective
exterior repairs at the Eliot Church, 56 Dale Street, Roxbury,
Massachusetts. The Eliot Church is listed on the National Register of
Historic Properties. The project is being partially funded with a grant
from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the
Massachusetts Historical Commission.
All
work must be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by and
available from the Spencer Preservation Group, 41 Valley Road, Nahant
Massachusetts, Massachusetts 01908 (617-227-2675) and meet the Secretary
of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this contract is subject
to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines.

PROJECT IS BEING ELECTRONICALLY BID AND HARD COPY BIDS WILL NOT BE

The
Brooke Charter School, hereinafter called the Owner, invites electronic
proposals from Contractors for the Waterproofing Design at the Brooke
Charter School, Roslindale, Massachusetts, in accordance with the
Contract Documents prepared by Gale Associates, Inc., 6 Bedford Farms
Drive, Bedford, NH 03110.
Bids
for the General Contract shall be filed electronically with Bid Docs
Online by February 6, 2025 @ 1 PM. At this time bids will be publicly
opened online forthwith. Please note, public bid openings may be
videotaped, livestreamed, or opened on public TV. Bidders may
participate in bid opening via conference call arranged by the Owner.
The Owner reserves the right to issue an addendum postponing the scheduled bid opening prior to the due date.
General
bidders must be certified by the Massachusetts Division of Capital
Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for the category of General
Contracting. General bids shall be accompanied by a DCAMM Certificate of
Eligibility for the category, and an Update Statement. Failure to
provide a DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and an Update Statement will
result in the bid being rejected.
Each
general bid shall be filed electronically with Bid Docs Online and
accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount of five percent (5%) of the
amount of the bid. Bid deposits shall be in the form of a bid bond,
cash, certified check, or a treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a
responsible bank or trust company, payable to Brooke Charter School. Bid

Bid
Bonds shall be a) in a form satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, b)
with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth and

Performance and Payment Bond satisfactory in form to the Awarding
Authority in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract
and from a surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of

Attention
of all bidders is specifically directed to the construction scheduling
requirements and to the requirements of the Supplemental General
Conditions concerning Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination,
and Affirmative Action Program of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as
well as the requirement of prevailing wages, which is incorporated in
the Contract Documents.
General
bidders are also advised that before contract award, the lowest general
bidder shall be required to provide the Owner with documentation
stating how is intends to meet the minority and women business
enterprise goals for the project. The combined MBE and WBE goal is
10.4%.
All bids
for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General
Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended, and Massachusetts General
Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 - 27b inclusive and Section 44A - 44I
