Marie-Aude Guié

Marie-Aude Guié, Vice President of Scientific Computing and Data Science at X-Chem Incorporated, a company whose primary focus is biotechnology, was recently appointed to serve on the board of directors for St. Francis House of Boston, the state’s largest daytime shelter. Guié was appointed to the position this month and will be helping the organization by offering her skills in research informatics and data management to bolster the organization’s mission to continue to house, feed, and support the homeless population throughout the commonwealth.

Guié is a graduate of McGill University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and she also studied computer science. She also attended Johns Hopkins University for her master’s in Computer Science with a concentration in bioinformatics. She has since held multiple different positions. Before her work with X-Chem, Guié served as the Supervisor of Cheminformatics for the Southern Research Institute in Alabama, an Informatics Scientist at MedImmune in Maryland, and a brief stint at Yale as a researcher before landing in her current position, where she has now worked for over a decade.

During her time with X-Chem, she has held a multitude of different positions throughout her 12-year career with the biotechnology company. Beginning in 2012 as a Senior Scientific Software Engineer, Guié quickly rose in the ranks, steadily moving up the company’s administrative food chain to the Vice President position she currently serves.

Guié is a Washington, D.C. native and currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
