IRVIN PHOTOGRAPHY On Thursday, June 6, Boston’s tastemakers gathered for an evening of live music, gourmet cuisine, specialty cocktails, and an elegant rooftop atmosphere to celebrate the Bay State Banner’s one year of new ownership success. Guests enjoyed the breathtaking 360- degree views overlooking the Boston Skyline at the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building. The Banner, founded by former Publisher and Editor Melvin B. Miller, has been Blackowned since 1965. It is one of the nation’s leading African American news organizations, the oldest of three currently operating in New England.
