NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Electronic proposals for the following project will be received through the internet using Bid Express until the date and time stated below, and will be posted on www.bidx.com forthwith after the bid submission deadline. No paper copies of bids will be accepted. Bidders must have a valid digital ID issued by the Authority in order to bid on projects. Bidders need to apply for a digital ID with Bid Express at least 14 days prior to a scheduled bid opening date.

Electronic bids for MBTA Contract No. W43CN06, ALEWIFE GARAGE INFRASTRUCTURE REPAIRS: MEP, LIFE SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY, CAMBRIDGE, MA, CLASS 7 – BUILDINGS, $6,000,000, PROJECT VALUE $6,000,000.00, can be submitted at www.bidx.com until two o’clock (2:00 p.m.) on July 22, 2021. Immediately thereafter, in a designated room, the Bids will be opened and read publicly.

Work consists of the following repairs as directed by the Engineer:

• Replacing defective plumbing riser(s) and horizontal piping • Test and replacing defective fire protection riser(s) • Removal of the parking garage exhaust systems that serve the existing busway • Replacement of emergency lighting through the garage • Replacing the fire alarm system for the garage in its entirety • Various accessibility upgrades throughout the garage (door operators, tripping hazard, parking counts)

Bidders attention is directed to Appendix 1, Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity; and to Appendix 2, Supplemental Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination, and Affirmative Action Program in the specifications. While there is no DBE goal associated with this contract, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”) d/b/a the Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”) is issuing a Request for Proposals, (“RFP”) for Engineering Design Services for Shipyard Park Waterfront Maritime Infrastructure Improvements in the Charlestown Navy Yard (hereinafter, the “Services”). The Boston Redevelopment Authority d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”) is pleased to issue this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for consulting services to assist in the development of a neighborhood plan for Boston’s Charlestown neighborhood (hereinafter, “PLAN: Charlestown.”) The BPDA is requesting proposals from respondents that have prior experience in mixed-used neighborhood planning processes. The budget for PLAN: Charlestown is One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00). The PLAN: Charlestown process is anticipated to last twelve (12) months. RFP Availability: This RFP will be available starting at 9:00 A.M. on July 12, 2021 through download from the BPDA’s website http://www.bostonplans. org. Click on ”Work with Us,” and click the ”Procurement” page for PLAN: Charlestown. Respondents meeting the minimum threshold criteria and quality requirements will be interviewed as part of the evaluation process. The BPDA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor informalities. The award of this contract is subject to approval by the Boston Redevelopment Authority Board and is contingent on availability of funds.
