A petition has been presented to said Court, for license to sell at private sale certain real estate of Wybettie Odware of 31 Brockton Street, Mattapan, MA 02126 in the County of Suffolk, for maintenance and praying that the peti tioner

George Rodriguez, Esq. may be come the seller of said real estate.

That certain parcel of land with the building thereon situated in that part of Boston formerly Dorchester, in the county of Suffolk and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, bounded and described as follows:

Northwesterly by Brockton Street, forty (40) feet; Northeasterly by lot B as shown on the plan hereafter mentioned, one hundred (100) feet; Southeasterly by lot D as shown on said plan, thirty-eight and 23/100 (38.23) feet; and Southwesterly by land now or formerly of Susan F. Emerson, one hundred and 01/100 (100.01) feet.

Said land is shown as Lot A on a subdivision plan drawn by H. A. Brawley, C. E., dated May 18, 1931, as approved by the Court, filed in the Land Registration Office as plan No. 6053-B, a copy of a portion of which is filed with certificate of title No. 35747.

Also another certain parcel of land with the buildings thereon situate in that part of Boston formerly Dorchester, bounded and described as follows:

Northwesterly by Brockton Street formerly called Bismark Street, twenty (20) feet; Southwesterly by lot A as shown on the plan hereinafter mentioned, one hundred (100) feet.

Southeasterly by lot D-1 as shown on said plan, twenty (20) feet; and Northeasterly by said lot D-1 an by lot C-1 as shown on said plan, one hundred (100) feet.

Said land is shown as Lot B-1 on a subdivision plan drawn by C. B. Humphrey, Engineer for the Court, dated July 24, 1940, as approved by the Court, filed in the Land Registration Office as plan No. 6035-C, a copy of a portion of which sis filed with certificate of title No. 39511.

The above described land is subject to a taking by the City of Boston for highway purposes in said Brockton Street under order dated July 15, 1938, filed and registered as Document No. 139668.

If you desire to object thereto you or your attorney should file a written appearance in said Court at Boston before ten o’clock in the forenoon on the 19th day of February, 2020, the return day of this citation.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”) d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”), is issuing an Invitation for Bids entitled “Landscape & Hardscape Work at the Charlestown Navy Yard” (the “IFB”). The IFB is issued in accordance with Massachusetts General Law c. 30, § 39M, as may be amended. The lowest responsible and eligible bidder will enter into a two (2) year contract (the “Initial Term”) with the BRA holding three (3) one (1) year options that may be exercised at the BRA’s sole discretion. In the event the BRA exercises the three (3) one (1) year options, the contract term shall be five (5) years. The work generally consists of: planting, weeding and mulch, pruning, removing invasive plant material, fertilization of soil, deadheading shrubs, daily trash removal, soil building, and snow removal. ESTIMATED PROJECT VALUE: The estimated contract amount is Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000) (i.e., One Hundred Seventy Thousand ($170,000.00) annually). TIME AND PLACE FOR FILING BIDS: All bids shall be filed with the BRA at One City Hall Square, 9th floor, Boston, MA, 02201 before 12:00 P.M. (Noon) on February 25, 2020, at which time and place respective bids will be opened forthwith and read aloud. No responses will be accepted after the due date and time. The award of this contract is subject to the approval of the BRA Board, and is contingent on the availability of funds. IFB PACKAGE & PRE-BID CONFERENCE: The IFB, including site maps and requirements for this project, will be available to all interested bidders on February 5, 2020, 9:00 A.M. The IFB package will be available in digital and print form. A pre-bid conference will be held on February 11, 2020 at 10:00 A.M., at 22 Drydock Avenue, 2nd floor conference room, Boston, MA 02210. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is optional; however, all bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. The selected bidder will also be required to provide a payment bond in the amount of 50% of the resulting contract price with the BRA. RULE FOR AWARD: The BRA will award the resulting contract to the responsible and eligible bidder offering the lowest bid for the initial term. The BRA reserves the right to waive any and all minor informalities in the bidding or to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
