HISTORY IN THE RE-MAKING

The LSU Health Science Foundation hosted its annual fundraising gala, “An Evening For Heroes,” May 2 at the Shreveport Convention Center. The evening was a tribute and thank you to all the first responders, doctors, nurses and other support personnel who helped save the lives of two people who were treated at the hospital.

SMALL WONDERS
They commemorate the 150th anniversary battles of Gettysburg and Vicksburg. Both unveilings were at the national parks dedicated to these events. The Gettysburg stamp represents part of the great cyclorama or huge mural that portrays the battle fought during July 1-3 in southern Pennsylvania.
