Bill McGuckin opened McGuckin Hardware in 1955, with 4 employees in four different departments. His success was based on his belief in personalized service, selection and first-hand experience. In 1960, he joined forces with his son-in-law, Dave Hight, and this dynamic duo built the McGuckin Hardware you know today based on their mutual goal.

Staying within a block of its original location, McGuckin Hardware has been a Boulder anchor ever since. We employ an average of 250 people in 18 different departments, ranging from Garden to Housewares and Automotive and Plumbing – just to name a few. The store is 60,000+ square feet and carries over 200,00 items – many of them Colorado-made.
