Nature arts camps designed
to meet the unique developmental needs of girls and boys 7-15 years old.
Through exploration of the natural world children discover their
strengths and build confidence while nurturing friendships and deepening
their relationship with nature. They learn teamwork, positive
self-expression, and ancient skills for living close to the Earth:
edible and medicinal plants, animal tracking, fire making, navigation,
natural shelters, making instruments, drumming, etc. Staff members bring
in-depth understanding of child development and extensive skills in
nature-based mentoring to help kids grow more comfortable being in

Singletrack Mountain Bike Adventures (SMBA) is the longest-running,
independent junior mountain bike program in Colorado. Our programs
introduce young riders to the exhilaration of mountain biking in a safe
and fun environment. SMBA provides an atmosphere where riders have the
opportunity to develop a range of skills and interests, from a
7-year-old beginner to a mature racer.
Our program supports
youth in becoming champions on and off the trail. SMBA’s philosophy

to children when exploring the great outdoors. Campers will be
encouraged to ask when, where, how and why. They will be divided into
three age-appropriate groups and focus on a different subject each week:
air, water, the earth, insects and creatures interacting with nature.
Campers will develop skills and self confidence in a fun, hands-on,
educationally rich environment while learning about nature in the world
around us. A weekly swim trip and an age-appropriate hike will be
included. Special guests from the community will be a part of each
week’s activities. Wear clothes you can get grubby in and shoes that fit
well and are well broken in. We will be moving and getting dirty every

A traditional overnight
camp for kids ages 7-17. Campers live in cabins with two counselors and
six to nine other children of their own gender and age. Each cabin is
under the direct leadership of a college-aged counselor. Counselors
receive extensive training at camp prior to the campers’ arrival.
Staff-to-camper ratio is one-to-five or lower. For nearly a century,
Camp Chief Ouray (CCO) has been the adventurous playground for boys and
girls from around the world. Located on 5,100 acres of mountains,
valleys, streams and meadows — boredom is simply not an option.
